An extraordinarily versatile musician, Iva Moffett Rauch has performed in piano concerts both as soloist and as an accompanist. For twelve years, she entertained guests at the Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. Iva has played violin with the Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Jackson, Mississippi Symphony orchestras. As a vocalist she has appeared in solo recitals and conducted church choirs throughout the years.
Iva received a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from Louisiana State University where she was the recipient of the Omicron Delta Kappa-Mortar Board Outstanding Senior Award. She earned a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from The Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore, Maryland, and completed a year of study in Piano Pedagogy at The New School for Music Study, Princeton, New Jersey.
Iva was on the music faculty of Hood College, Frederick, Maryland for twenty years. She also taught piano at The Peabody Conservatory Preparatory Department, The New School for Music Study, and maintained a private studio. Iva currently lives north of Seattle and continues to perform as a soloist, accompanist and recording artist.
